Open Call: Border Regions Peer Exchange Visitors

General

InterregGov is sharing information about an initiative that can provide valuable input for Interreg programmes and projects implementing Interreg Specific Objective 1 (ISO1) – Better Cooperation Governance.

DG REGIO, in cooperation with Fundación CEER, has launched an Open Call for Visitors under the Border Regions Peer Exchange on Solving Border Obstacles programme.

The initiative will select 100 participants for 10 peer-exchange visits between November 2026 and January 2027, offering practical insights into solutions for cross-border challenges in areas such as healthcare, transport, public services, environment, tourism, social security, and territorial governance.

The call is open to organisations involved in Interreg A programmes, including Managing Authorities, Joint Secretariats, public authorities, universities, research centres, EGTCs, Euroregions, development agencies, chambers of commerce, and other cross-border cooperation stakeholders.

Up to 50 highest-scoring applicants will receive a €750 lump sum to support travel and accommodation.

Deadline: 7 September 2026, 17:00 CET.
